We're going to continue to release additional bans

  • In an article on the blog post Lost Ark Gold(opens in a new tab) published on the internet yesterday, the development team posted an update about the game's plethora of bots. The team said that it was "working on internal strategies for making it harder for bots to get into the game".

    This announcement comes after an announcement last week that said Smilegate had "been working hard on designing effective tools and methods to identify and remove players from their game" and banned over a million "bot" accounts from its servers(opens in a new tab) on March 4.

"We know this will not fix the situation by itself as bots remain active in the game so we want to provide reassurance that this was just one of the steps in a ongoing fight.

    "Following the initial ban wave, we're going to continue to release additional bans to clear out further bots in the game. Beyond that, we are developing internal methods and tools to make it harder for bots to join the game, especially in the way they're being made. The updates are soon on their way to the game. "We've also received concerns from players about the effects these bots could have on game's economy, particularly when it comes to buying and selling gold, and we are closely looking into this," the post explained. "We have changed the gold reward to silver for certain Rapport and Guide Quest rewards in order to buy Gold Lost Ark avoid the misuse of these systems by bots as well as gold producers."
