  • zeeshan rasheed emerging trends in Pakistani movies future perspectives through analyzing movies produced from 2013 to 2019 I am a student of riphah int university thinking that I will research on a topic which could possibly help the Pakistani film industry.as their is not much research on the industry.I discussed my idea with the director rims rehan hassan who was guiding us in writing a thesis proposal. However, Sir Rehan was of the view that your study should provide an edge to the industry that filmmakers can improve the standard of film industry.so thats why i started work on the same topic with my idea and guidenns of rehan hassan and dr masrur alam khan. While reviewing the available literature relevant to my study i had come to a view in my mind that there is less literature about my topic. The cinema of Pakistan put forward to Pakistan‟s film industry. The majority of characteristics movies explosion in Pakistan are in Urdu language but also consist of movies in English, Punjabi, Pashto and Sindhi languages. Pakistan‟s largest film industry is Lollywood. My topic for thesis writing was approved in the Meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research and Dr masrur alam khan was designated, my supervisor. Before the partitioning of Bangladesh, Pakistan had three major film production center‟s: Lahore, Karachi and Dhaka. Dhaka was lost after 1971. The government of Muhammad Zia ul Haq, VCRs, film piracy. The introduction of entertainment taxes and Islamic laws have been some of the many obstacles to the industry‟s growth. Once flourishing, the cinema in Pakistan now hardly exists. The selection of six Pakistani from every year which were high grossing movies of the year was selected by the researcher. content analysis method selected by the researcher to analyze the content of Pakistani movies. cultural patterns and frequency of violence have been analyzed by the researcher. this research study will provide literature for the researcher of films. As this research study is confined to Pakistani cinema (Lollywood) it will add up to our knowledge the nature of films produced by both countries and will compare Pakistani movies in perspective culture. The content analysis of the movies would brief about the various nature of scenes (ie how many scenes of violence and other material as songs, comedy etc are in the film. In this research, I have focused on Films.researcher has analyzed the dresses by using stopwatch by making different categories to analyze the content from the scenes of movies. The findings of the study will provide significant information that would be helpful for filmmakers of Pakistani movies t make the industry better. this study provide a detailed background of Pakistani films industry and Pakistani cinema decline. Initially, when I started my research journey, I had no idea where it would take me. After months of hard work and especially guides, from Dr masrur Alam khan and rehan Hassan, I can say that it taught me more than I could imagine about how to properly conduct research and communicate my findings with others. I especially want to thanks my supervisor Dr masrur Alam khan. Director RIMS Rehan Hasan, and my family, who helped to make my research experience possible.
