Education is power, through education we can change the world. Developed countries are investing in education because they know that through education they maintain their hegemony, Developing countries should need to do this specially Pakistan need to do this.
Tertiary education is basically third level of education, education after intermediate or Higher education. Tertiary education is a basic element for growth and development. Tertiary education is not only for the economy its important for the betterment of societies and communities. There is a deep connection between development and tertiary education. All the first world countries have been investing in tertiary education they have been investing on humans because they know that education can change the world. Now, the developing countries also investing in education for instance India, Nigeria etc they are actually investing on humans.
Pakistan is a third world country , According to World Economic Forum’s Global Human capital report 2017 ranked Pakistan as one of the worst country in tertiary education. They ranked Pakistan at 125 out of 130 countries with worst tertiary education. If the government of Pakistan wants to improve the current condition of the country they have to start from the education system, because the education systems increase the revenue and increase the growth rate. Through education they reduce the poverty and unemployment.
Tertiary education is a education of skills. In the world the people who have the higher education degrees earn twice then diplomas and here in Pakistan the PhD’s are unemployed. 75% of illiteracy in Pakistan because the people of that country can’t afford the expenses. In Pakistan there is two sectors in education system Government universities and private universities. Aim of both sectors are money. Our education systems are worst that’s why we are lacking and we have a worst conditions in Pakistan because we are not investing in people. Not only in the world we are lacking in our own country the condition of our other provinces Baluchistan and Sindh the highest rate in illiteracy. 4% of education is in both provinces. The only focus of our government is on Punjab they have been investing in Punjab, the government of Pakistan is neglecting the other provinces. We are in worst conditions, injustice between provinces, disrespecting the education system and degree holders, they all are the obstacles in the development of Pakistan.
75% illiteracy rate, 125th number in worst higher education, 500+ unemployed PHD’s , 51 lac aged 3 to 10 children do not acquire education in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Pakistan is said to be a third world country in a developing stage. If the government of Pakistan wants to change the current condition they have to and they should to improve education system because education is a backbone for the development and progress. 75% population of Pakistan is below the average they can’t afford the private schools, the condition of government schools are worst children are enrolled but teachers are absent. Teachers are not trained in both sectors. The purpose of education is now making money people are just making money through this business , in Pakistan education is another business and HEC is another corrupt institute, from primary to higher education system we are just making money. These are the reasons which become source of crimes and other anti social activities, when there is inequality in society than the structure of society will be disorganized and it give rise to anti social activities. The standard of education system is low. I think the actual reason of unemployment is that we have degrees but don’t have skills because we don’t have skilled staff and no check balance on teaching staff , the inexperienced got the jobs through links and PHD’s are unemployed. Now, the government should make education system a priority or else it will get worst we are in a stage where we even failed to meet the minimize quality of education that’s why HEC shut down many programs in different universities because of there low criteria in education. In Pakistan the governments never make education a priority they has not committed to education at any level. Lack of infrastructure is another reason in this era, lack of dedication and commitment from teachers, teachers are not trained that’s why teacher don’t understand how to help a student. The government and teachers are less concerned about education they don’t even play their roles with honesty and integrity.
Tertiary education is important and in recent reports the government of Pakistan said that they built universities in every district, for tertiary education it can be good move but our primary education is not good the children are programmed in primary level if there is lack in primary level tertiary education can’t help a student in his/her higher level because they are already programmed in that way.
The solution of all the problems is to strengthen the education system from the start, start from the primary level, strengthen the first step good education policies, equal education system in provinces, experienced teachers, to improve education in Pakistan we must improve the training process of teachers because trained teachers are important element in education system for higher standards, teacher training is important for the standards education and training should be in practical system, strengthen the primary and secondary level the higher education save itself, there should be less learning and focus on practical work if we want to begin with this we have to change the policies, quality of education, trained teachers.
Start from the Baluchistan 3% of education rate in this province. 80% of children aged 3 to 15 don’t go to schools. They don’t have sources, in Baluchistan, government should give free education at primary and secondary level. If we want to be in developed countries we have to educate these provinces, we have to give them there rights, this is a time the government should invest on their people, because no one save the country not even army save the country, the Nations save their countries. The government should bring accountability in education system. The state should be responsible for public and state should provide funds for education system. Only government schools, colleges and universities should work in state. The private sector should be shut down and the quality of education in government should be in high standards. Because the international jobs wants a skilled person with practical work not the theoretical.

• Injustice in merit system
For Pakistan, this is a time-specific window of opportunity. This opportunity is not going to last forever. Pakistan has no option but to grab this opportunity by investing in its people. If we fail to transform the 90 million young people in general and the 40 million youth in particular into productive citizens by investing in them, the future of Pakistan would be bleak. It is in this perspective that investment in education and health is important. Unfortunately, whenever the country faced budget constraints, spending on education and health became victims of financial indiscipline. The recent stalemate between the misguided finance team and the respected vice-chancellors is a classic example. It is the university which, by imparting quality education not only produces high-quality manpower but good-quality graduates to teach school- and college-level students. Hence, the quality of teaching would depend on quality of graduates graduating from universities which, in turn, would depend on the resources made available to the universities by the government.
