Final Year Project

  • After 1 month, the documentary on topic "reincarnation of dhabba culture" is completed along with editing and has been submitted.

The shooting was done mainly at the roadside dhabbas of Taxila starring a truck driver and an old person. Also one location in Bahria "Pappu chai wala" was documented starring some students wasting their time at these places whereas these places in the past were used for source of knowledge by our poets for others. Moreover these dhabbas are a source of comfort and rest of drivers. The lower class or poor people because of not enough resources can’t go to expensive restaurants and end up going to these dhabbas as they provide them affordable and cheap food items. Still after many fancy restaurants the culture of dhabba is still alive among some classes. We must further progress up this historical heritage by trying hard on individual and congregational levels and also to uphold its previous standard we need to play our role.

Hence the conclusion derived from this documentary is that dhabba is a significant part of the culture be it in its old form or new one. Nothing is wrong but the use of a thing makes it right or wrong. It depends on the user how he uses the particular thing.
